Agony for Dec as Ant splits
DECLAN Donnelly has revealed he feels “very much torn” over TV partner Ant McPartlin’s split from his wife Lisa.
A source said: “Dec will always stand by Ant, but over the years he has, naturally, become very good friends with Lisa, and his wife, Ali, is also very close to her.
“He feels very much torn and it’s a tremendously difficult situation for all concerned.”
Ant, 42, confirmed he was splitting from Lisa, 41, at the weekend. Dec’s wife Ali Astall has since become “a shoulder to cry on for Lisa”.
The estranged couple will come face to face at Britain’s Got Talent auditions in Blackpool today – with Lisa working as a make-up artist.
It is understood Ant told Dec, 42, that there was “no way back” for his 11-year marriage during their stint in Australia for I’m A Celebrity.
The time spent apart only “strengthened Ant’s resolve”, the source added.
The divorce could cost him half his estimated £60million fortune, it is claimed.
