Tory: Teach all kids God Save Queen
DEMAND Andrew Rosindell ALL pupils should be taught the national anthem, a Tory MP has said.
Andrew Rosindell, 51, said putting God Save the Queen on the national curriculum would instil a sense of national identity.
He said: “We have generations who don’t know the [anthem’s] words, and don’t understand the importance of national identity and its traditions.”
The MP for Romford, East London, added: “With such a diverse society, it is even more important all schoolchildren are taught the national anthem.
“This instils a great sense of belonging and aids integration.”
In 2012 the royalist failed in a bid to create a law to ensure the Queen’s portrait is displayed at all ports and airports. FILLING Car leaves giant hole
