Transatlantic note in bottle

A BOY has made a “pal for life” after finding a message in a bottle on a beach.

Jacquie Chmilar, 10, put the bottle in the Atlantic Ocean 2,200 miles away in Newfoundland, Canada, six months ago.

And Noah Crooks, eight, found it near his home in Morwenstow, Cornwall.

He emailed Jacquie and quickly received a reply.

Noah said it was “really cool” and Jacquie’s mum Suzanne added: “I’m pretty sure they are going to be pen pals for life.”
