Sean has Lion heart
ENGLAND captain Sean O’Loughlin said his World Cup final heartbreak does not mean the end of his international career.
O’Loughlin was forced out of the Brisbane showdown with Australia after a quad injury in the semi-final win over Tonga.
He was 35 in November and some thought he would call it a day for England.
But the Wigan skipper said he is always available for the national side ahead of this year’s Test series with New Zealand.
O’Loughlin said: “If whoever is coaching wants me – whether it’s Wayne Bennett or somebody else – I’d always want to play.
“But I’d also understand if they wanted to give somebody else a crack who may be there for another five or 10 years.”
