Duckett gets chance to be a North star

BEN DUCKETT has been selected for this year’s North-South series, despite his disciplinary issues.

The Northants batsman, 23, received a final written warning after pouring a drink over James Anderson in a Perth bar in December.

He was also dropped for the Lions’ tour of West Indies next month, but is in the North squad looking for revenge in Barbados after suffering a 3-0 whitewash last year.

There will be three matches at the Kensington Oval on March 18, 21 and 23.
