William ‘very sad’ on Cyrille

PRINCE William paid tribute to tragic footballer Cyrille Regis on a visit to the Midlands yesterday.

As he arrived in Coventry, he said: “I was wondering if anybody was going to bring up Cyrille Regis today because he was a big Coventry player.”

Wills, an Aston Villa fan, added on a tour of charities in the city: “Very sad, he was Villa as well... he was a lovely man.”

Former West Brom and England striker Regis died of a heart attack aged 59, it was revealed on Monday.
