Cowell & Walliams hype up the snipe

-

BRITAIN’S Got Talent auditions have only just started and we hear that Simon Cowell and David Walliams are already sniping away at each other.

Some things never change, eh? On the opening day in Blackpool, Simon, 58, kept asking what people would spend the prize money on if they won, so David, 46, said: “It’s all about money with Simon.”

Simon replied: “Seeing as your agent asked for a 50% pay rise, that’s a bit rich coming from you.”

When he then muttered under his breath, David told the crowd he was swearing at him, and Amanda Holden, 46, below, suggested they needed a swear box.

Simon didn’t hold back with some of the acts either, telling one: “My son would love that and listen to it on repeat, I’d end up wanting to kill you.” Another singer was told: “That was amateur.”

On a more positive note, Britain’s Got Talent had its first golden buzzer act on the opening day. We hear Amanda gave the male singer a pass through to the semis after turning in a performance dubbed a “Subo moment”.

We won’t ruin the surprise completely, but it certainly sounds worth watching. The show will again be hosted by Ant and Dec, who said they were “excited” to be back at work after taking a few weeks off when I’m A Celebrity ended. In another audition, Simon was full of praise for Reuben De Maid, and his “amazing attitude”. Reuben, 12, has appeared on This Morning and Ellen, and has been bullied for wearing incredible make-up. You can see if Reuben went through or got buzzed when the ITV show returns in the spring.
