PAY BBC’S MEN LESS

Without question, if a woman does the same, or a similar job as a man, she’s entitled to be paid the same.

But what I do question is the ridiculous sums paid to TV presenters of both sexes. Their value to the community is minimal compared to a firefighter who risks their life, or a nurse.

We often read criticism of sports stars’ pay, but their playing life is short, sometimes cut shorter by injury. Perhaps the BBC should bring down the men’s pay to the women’s, instead of the other way around. Ed Tilbury Buckhurst Hill, Essex
