Fan hanged himself after star’s suicide

- BY AMY WALKER

A ROCK music fan hanged himself hours after telling of his distress at the suicide of Linkin Park star Chester Bennington, an inquest heard.

Lee Randall, 36, rang his dad over the death, saying: “He has six children, how could he do that?”

Lee – known as “a rock star who wasn’t a rock star” – was found dead the next day by his wife at their home in Werneth Low, Greater Manchester.

US Singer Bennington, 41, also hanged himself.

Lee’s mother Wendy told the Stockport inquest: “I think he did have issues with his self esteem.

“He was outgoing and outrageous and would dress extravagantly but I think it was a front. He suffered from bulimia.”

Verdict: Suicide.
