I REALLY LIKE HER, BUT I THINK SHE’S IGNORING ME

-

Dear Coleen

I met a woman on a dating site and we swapped numbers and agreed to meet. Since then, I have been asking her out again and it’s like she is avoiding my invitation, even though she does text back.

She says I’m not her ‘number one priority’, but her kids are. As a parent myself I understand her situation, but I think that not replying to my question is a bit extreme. I’ve also asked her where I stand and she’s ignored that, too. What am I doing wrong? Help please – I really like her and I’d like things to progress!

I think she’s trying to be polite, but what she’s really saying is that she’s not interested. Yes, kids are a priority, but if you are really interested in someone, you can still arrange to go on another date. You’d find a way to make it work.

My advice to you would be to move on and not to wait around for her to reply. If she gets in touch with you again, then fine, but don’t put your life on hold.

The more you nag her, the more you’ll put her off because you’ll come across as too demanding and high maintenance.

It’s a new year, so start looking at some new profiles and get back into the dating pool.
