Cricket pro’s rape charge
A PROFESSIONAL cricketer is to stand trial accused of rape.
Alex Hepburn, 21, who plays for Worcestershire, allegedly attacked the woman last April.
The Australian allrounder yesterday pleaded not guilty at Worcester crown court to two counts of sexual assault.
Hepburn, who lives in Malvern, was bailed by a judge and will go on trial next year.
The player remains suspended, but on full pay, by his county side.
