Here’s a tip... let us choose
MOST customers believe tipping after a restaurant meal should be optional, according to a survey.
Thirty per cent resent paying a service charge at all and nearly 60% say it should be up to them.
And 40% in the Nationwide Building Society study said they would tip more if they had a choice.
Spokesman Dan King said: “People are willing to reward good service but it’s clear from our research that they prefer it be left to their own discretion.”
