SALE OF THE CENTURY

United will pay an incredible £182M for Sanchez in four-and-a-half year deal £117M in wages to the striker £35M transfer valuation £10M goes to Chilean’s agent £20M signing on payment

ALEXIS SANCHEZ has agreed a staggering £500,000-a-week deal to quit Arsenal for Old Trafford.

The 29-year-old Chile star will sign a four-and-a-half year contract and could even seal the move in time for Manchester United’s trip to Burnley on Saturday.

The deal will cost the Reds £182million and stands to make the former Barcelona forward one of the world’s best-paid

players, alongside one-time team-mate Lionel Messi.

Arsenal have valued the forward at £35m, the player’s agent Fernando Felicevich will receive £10m, and has negotiated a £20m signing-on fee for his client.

The Sanchez switch – worth £269,000 a week after tax – is a huge statement by United. It follows Jose Mourinho’s claims last month that his club couldn’t compete with the financial firepower of rivals Manchester City.

It is understood Arsenal are now confident that Henrikh Mkhitaryan will enable the swap to be completed by agreeing to a move the other way.

The Armenia international midfielder arrived at United’s Carrington complex yesterday, but did not participate in training.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is also working hard to push forward a deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund.

Talks are understood to be at an advanced stage, following the marksman’s decision to hand in a transfer request at his club.

Striker Aubameyang, 28, is set to cost the Gunners over £50m.
