A CAREER as an online “vlogger” or in gaming is an aspiration for many young children, a survey showed.

The role beat traditional jobs such as doctor or police officer in a poll of seven to 11-year-olds.

Sportsman or woman came top at 21%, then teacher on 11%, vet at 7% and social media and gaming on 6%.

Charity Education and Employers said for many children “online celebrities have taken the place of TV and movie stars”.
