CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide

Dry January may be in full swing, but that’s hardly fair to the thousands of excellent pubs up and down the country and the fine, fine beer they produce.

The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) has released a free app for iOS and Android devices letting users quickly find the nearest available pint.

The app holds data on over 40,000 pubs, 10,000 beers and 2,000 breweries which have been visited and reviewed by CAMRA volunteers. You can set filters, such as free wi-fi, or dog-friendly to narrow down your search, and share any thoughts you have on the in-app social feeds.

The interface can be a bit slow at times and you’ll have to pay (£4.99 a year) for access to enhanced search features. But if you’re a fan of the great British pub, this is a must-have app.
