HOPES HIGH FOR HAYDOCK

OFFICIALS at Haydock will hold an inspection ahead of tomorrow’s Peter Marsh Chase fixture, but are optimistic the meeting will go ahead.

The track’s clerk of the course Kirkland Tellwright said: “It would be prudent to hold an inspection, because there is a frost forecast and there is plenty of moisture in the ground.

“There is going to be little margin for error, but we should scrape through.”
