WHITMORE QUITS HIS BOYHOOD CLARETS

BURNLEY’S Alex Whitmore has joined League Two Chesterfield on a two-and-a-half year deal.

The centre-back (left), 22, joined the Clarets from school in 2012.

Burnley have also loaned striker Dan Agyei, 20, to Blackpool.
