STAR TRIO ON WAY FROM WOLFPACK

- BY GARETH WALKER

TORONTO WOLFPACK’S hopes of a rapid rise to Super League have been hit by the shock exit of three high-profile players on the eve of the season.

The Canadian club are expected to push strongly for promotion from the Championship this year but have parted company with vastly-experienced forwards Fuifui Moimoi (left), Dave Taylor and Ryan Bailey.

Mirror Sport broke the news while the Wolfpack were on their pre-season training camp in Portugal, and the club has confirmed their exit while refusing to expand on why. Coach Paul Rowley (above) said the club would not be commenting further for “legal reasons.” Former Australia star Taylor had yet to play for the Wolfpack after joining during the season on a lucrative three-year contract.

The club’s season opener is at Leigh on February 4.
