OH, hey there comrades – just me, President Vladimir Putin, chilling out by taking an ice plunge.

The Orthodox ritual marks the feast of Epiphany here in Russia but it’s also a great excuse to whip my shirt off for the cameras and remind you how tough I am.

State TV showed me commemorating Christ’s baptism in Lake Seliger, which is about 250 miles north of Moscow.

But you may also have seen snaps of me enjoying other manly pursuits – like fishing bare-chested in Siberia, having Judo fights and hunting with a rifle.
