‘House of horrors’ dog raffle

TWO dogs found in the “house of horrors” where a couple are said to have kept their 13 children captive are to be raffled.

Unlike the starving offspring of David and Louise Turpin, who were allegedly taunted with pies, the Maltese-mix mongrels were fed daily. The authorities in Perris, California, say new owners will be picked by ballot after a home visit.

The Turpins deny cruelty to the children, aged two to 29, including binding them with ropes and hog-tying one.
