BARELY a month into his presidency Trump faced his first major scandal.
Gen Mike Flynn was forced to resign as National Security Officer for holding secret conversations with the Russian ambassador on lifting US sanctions against the Kremlin.
Trump reportedly told FBI director James Comey to close down the investigation into Flynn and allegations of collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign. More than 1.8 million people signed a petition opposing Trump’s state visit to Britain. Lies of the month: Feb 18 Tweet about “incident” in Sweden: “You look at what’s happening in Germany, you look at what’s happening last night in Sweden. Sweden, who would believe this?” There was no terror attack in Sweden. “Obamacare covers very few people.” Obamacare, in fact, covers more than 20 million Americans.
