THE Mueller investigation claimed its first major scalp when General Mike Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about conversations with Russia’s ambassador and said he was co-operating with the special counsel’s office.
Trump endorsed Republican candidate Roy Moore for the Senate race in Alabama despite claims Moore sexually assaulted under-age girls. Moore went on to lose the seat to the Democrats in the staunchly Republican state.
Trump caused widespread anger by recognising Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and saying the US embassy would
be moved there from Tel Aviv.
