BREXIT BLUES

I loved hearing German MEP Manfred Weber point out that the only achievement our Government has claimed in the 18 months since the EU referendum is the re-introduction of a navy blue passport. Even though Croatia kept their navy blue passports and so could we.

But it suited the Euro-haters to imply Brussels forced us into using a dreaded burgundy one.

Now, short of anything else to celebrate, they’re demanding Royal Mail bring out a special stamp to commemorate Brexit.

I’m all for it so long as it truly reflects reality. In other words the stamps have a picture of the Queen minus her crown. As we’ll probably need to pawn that to finance the divorce bill.
