A knight with no real might
Have to say – but didn’t at the time – that I was disappointed in Nick Clegg for accepting a knighthood, even though he said didn’t want to be called ‘Sir’ Nick Clegg (that’s exactly what he’s tagged, though, in newspapers and TV broadcasts).
He has, however, slightly redeemed himself in my eyes by posting this tweet on Wednesday: “The world has moved on since June 2016”, he wrote. “Brexiteers keep banging on about freedom, but one of the greatest freedoms is the freedom to change your mind.”
Hear, hear! Quite so, Sir Nick. Advice that he clearly took himself when accepting his knighthood.
