BEST SLADE PLANS CAN STILL GO WRONG

-

HENRY SLADE says Exeter must learn from Wasps to keep their European dream alive.

Chiefs, on a high after thrashing Montpellier, are the best-placed English club entering the last Champions Cup pool round.

They go to winless Glasgow today knowing a bonus-point victory would probably put them through to the last eight. But Slade (above) remembers how Wasps had a similar billing last week before choking at already eliminated Harlequins.

“That result proved the point that going away to anyone in Europe is really tough,” said the England centre. “We’re confident, but we’ve got to get the job done.”
