COLCHESTER GRIMSBY 1 1 CHARLES VERNAM was frustrated that his first career goal was not enough to give Grimsby all three points.

The on-loan Derby striker’s effort was cancelled out by Sean Murray for Colchester.

Vernam, 21, said: “What a feeling! It’s disappointing not to come away with all three points but it’s a positive performance going into next week.”
