FOBTs ‘to get £2 top stake’

THE top stake on fixedodds betting terminals will be cut to £2, reports claim.

A 12-week consultation to decide if the betting shop limit per spin should be cut from the current £100 ends on Tuesday.

And ministers are expected to opt for the £2 limit after an “overwhelming” response.

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport said a final decision will be made in due course.
