Dad’s arrest over killing after posting pic online
A GIRL smiles in a picture posted just an hour before she was stabbed to death.
Mylee Billingham, eight, died at her dad’s West Midlands home. He was held on suspicion of murder. A neighbour said: “It’s horrible.”
NEIGHBOURS have told of the horrific moment a mum discovered her daughter had been stabbed to death at her dad’s home.
Mylee Billingham, eight, was found in a pool of blood by police just an hour after a picture of her happily eating pizza was posted on her father’s Facebook page. She died in hospital.
A 54-year-old, named locally as dad Bill Billingham, was held on suspicion of murder and was last night in a critical condition with a stab wound to the stomach.
He is understood to be the brother of SAS hero Mark Billingham of TV’s Who Dares Wins, once a bodyguard to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s six kids.
Graham Greatrex, who lives near the bungalow where Mylee – nicknamed Moo by her family – was attacked, told how he helped comfort mum Tracey Taundry after the discovery.
HYSTERICAL
The 74-year-old said: “All the police cars were here and there was a lady here saying, ‘He’s stabbed my baby.’
“She was in shock and she couldn’t say anything else.” Another neighbour added: “She was absolutely hysterical.”
Tracey, who does not live at the property in Brownhills, West Mids, where Mylee was killed, was last night being supported by police at her home.
A family member said: “Tracey is beside herself with grief. She can’t believe she’s lost her little girl and keeps saying her life’s been destroyed.”
Mylee was found at 9.15pm on Saturday. At 8.15pm the photo was posted online. A caption read: “Pitza [sic] on bed lv moo x”. Tracey was one of several people who “liked” it.
A neighbour in her 60s told how she heard a child’s “high-pitched” screaming at around the time.
She said: “I assumed it was just kids messing around. It must have been the poor little girl. It’s horrible.”
Billingham is said to have two grown-up daughters. Detectives were waiting to interview him yesterday.
His brother Mark, a decorated Iraq war hero, has worked with dozens of other A-listers as a minder, including Russell Crowe and Tom Cruise.
