UKIP faces further chaos after half their top team quit over leader Henry Bolton’s refusal to resign.

His deputy, Margot Parker, was among 13 of 25 frontbenchers who stepped down.

She said Mr Bolton should go “sooner rather than later” after losing a unanimous vote of no confidence.

old’s girlfriend, Jo Marney, 27. They have since split up.

Ms Parker told the BBC his personal life “took over the job he was elected to do”.

Mr Bolton refused to quit insisting he will purge the party of infighting. He will face another vote within weeks, but said defiantly: “It is time to drain the swamp.” Last night on LBC radio Nigel Farage asked him: “How are you doing?” Mr Bolton replied: “I’m not sure... whisky does help. In some ways I’m quite enjoying it.”
