Singer pockets £460k a gig... no wonder fiancee is ‘chuffed’
ED Sheeran will not have to save up for his wedding – his tour is raking in £88million.
The star, who has just got engaged to childhood friend Cherry Seaborn, makes £460,000 profit per gig, accounts reveal.
His touring company, Nathan Cable Touring LLP, published figures that show he pocketed £4.6million in the past financial year despite only doing 10 gigs.
Ed’s world tour – which started in March last year – has up to 200 dates, meaning he will register a £88million profit once all expenses are accounted for.
On top of that, his hit records have made tens of millions more.
The singer, 26, shared news of his engagement to Cherry, 25, at the weekend and added that “our cats are chuffed as well”.
Sheeran told his 18 million Instagram followers: “Got myself a fiancee just before new year. We are very happy and in love.”
Cherry was in the year below Ed at school in Suffolk.
He credited her with nursing him to health and “brushing my teeth” after a cycle crash last year.
