Uni lecturers vote to strike

STUDENTS face rolling strikes after lecturers voted to take action over proposed pension changes.

University and College Union staff at 61 universities voted to walk out on February 22 if talks fail.

Union chief Sally Hunt said: “They are already offered worse benefits than other schemes in universities, and proposals would make them worse.”

Universities UK said: “If industrial action takes place it could cause disruption to students.”
