I’d like to respond to the letter from the woman who is struggling with the fact her husband had affairs in the early days of their marriage (Dear Coleen, Jan 5).

I care for an elderly lady whose husband had a long-term affair when her children were small. Now, decades later, that’s all she can think about and it’s made her very depressed, which is heartbreaking to see.

I’d suggest your reader either walks away from the marriage or has counselling so she doesn’t end up in the same situation.

Act now before it’s too late.
