McLeish set for second chance

- BY JAMES NURSEY

ALEX McLEISH wants the Scotland job after Michael O’Neill snubbed it.

O’Neill is due to pen a lucrative new deal until 2024 with Northern Ireland.

He is now preparing for a friendly against South Korea next month as he aims to blood new players.

The SFA will return to other options including former Scots boss McLeish.

McLeish managed his country in 2007, including a famed win in France, but left for Birmingham. Now he fancies another crack at the job after pal Gordon Strachan was sacked.
