Teddy gran’s charity gong

A GREAT-grandmother has won a British Empire Medal after knitting 8,000 teddy bears for charity.

Phyllis Reeve, 91, also earned an invite to a Buckingham Palace garden party for her charity work.

Modest Phyllis, of Thundersley, Essex, said: “I’m not a hero at all.”
