ENGLAND TO FACE SPAIN & CROATIA IN NATIONS LEAGUE

THE Nations League replaces internatio­nal friendlies between European countries.

It also offers four places in the European Championsh­ip for nations who fail to get there via the usual qualifiers. These will be decided by a play-off system, involving the top teams in each group (with those who have already qualified passing on their play-off place to the next highest-ranked team). England fixtures: Sept 8, Spain (h); Oct 12, Croatia (a); Oct 15, Spain (a); Nov 18, Croatia (h).
