Questions Zahawi must ask himself

Finding Sir Philip Green on the Presidents Club guest list had all the inevitability of David Cameron popping up at elite money club Davos.

But what was millionaire Children and Families’ Minister Nadhim Zahawi doing attending a men-only event? Why did it make him feel “uncomfortable” if he saw nothing, as he claims?

It’s not good enough for him to say he left early before then condemning the “horrific events”.

Why didn’t it bother him last time he attended the same event? And if he thought women were being harassed, why didn’t he go to the police?

Zahawi’s judgment has been called into question before, after being found charging the taxpayer to heat his stables during the MP’s expenses scandal. He said it was a mistake.

Even worse than that, he once ran Jeffrey Archer’s campaign for Mayor of London.

Now he needs to think whether his day job – which includes keeping children safe from harassment – is compatible with his attendance of the Gropers’ Ball. MISTAKES Nadhim Zahawi
