XEROSIS

-

This is the medical name for dry skin, a condition of rough skin with fine scaling and, occasionally, with small cracks.

It’s usually caused by cold weather, frequent bathing, and by medical conditions, such as atopic dermatitis.

Dry skin develops due to a decrease in the natural oils in the outer layer of skin, which makes the skin lose water. Slapping liberal quantities of E45 cream on will help to keep the skin moisturised and supple.
