Hornby shares skid off track

Shares in Hornby plunged 10% yesterday after the troubled toymaker warned a poor Christmas would lead to big losses.

Hornby, best known for its model railways and Scalextric car racing sets, said fewer discounts and late stock deliveries had led to its festive sales coming in “below management expectations”.
