Ivan in dock over mix-up

IVAN FURTADO faces a BHA disciplinary panel hearing next week after running stablemates African Trader and Scribner Creek in the wrong races at Southwell earlier this month.

The mix-up follows the case of of the Charlie McBride-trained Millies’ Kiss, who ‘won’ a two-year-old novice stakes at Yarmouth last July despite being a three-year-old.

DAVY Russell will replace Cheltenhambound Daryl Jacob on Sky Bet Chase 3-1 favourite L’Ami Serge at Doncaster tomorrow.

Jacob will ride Bristol De Mai for owners Simon Munir and Isaac Souede in the Cotswold Chase at Cheltenham, and the pair’s racing manager Anthony Bromley said: “It’s a good fit.”
