Blues eye up Giroud

Chelsea, who are in talks with Roma striker Edin Dzeko, have Giroud among their many options as Antonio Conte searches for a target man.

The Blues have already considered West Ham’s Andy Carroll, Stoke’s Peter Crouch and even Burnley’s Ashley Barnes before settling on Dzeko.

But the possibility of Giroud has now been explored as an alternative – in case the club are unable to agree a fee with the 31-year-old Bosnian.
