NOW BLUES EYE GIROUD FOR BRIDGE

- EXCLUSIVE BY DARREN LEWIS

CHELSEA are considering a move to persuade Olivier Giroud to swap the Emirates for Stamford Bridge.

The Arsenal striker (left), 31, was expected to make a loan switch to Dortmund.

But that appears in danger of breaking down, with the German club unable to agree

DANNY INGS is all set to end two years of injury hell by returning to Liverpool’s first-team tomorrow.

The England striker last began a match for the Reds when he scored in the Merseyside derby in Brendan Rodgers’ final game as manager back in October 2015.

The following week, Ings won his first England cap, but two days later snapped cruciate ligaments in his left knee during Jurgen Klopp’s first training session as Liverpool’s new boss.

Ings, 25, has endured a long road back to recovery, damaging cartilage in his right knee in November 2016 soon after he made his comeback from the initial injury, which ruled him out for another nine months.

He has been restricted to just seven appearances from the bench in 27 painful months, but is prepared to make his first start under Klopp against West Brom in the FA Cup tomorrow.

Klopp has ruled out the prospect of the forward leaving on loan, with Daniel Sturridge likely to be on his way.

Inter Milan have made a firm offer for Sturridge, and both Sevilla and Roma are interested in a loan deal.
