Labour blow on customs

SIR Keir Starmer dashed Labour MPs’ hopes that the party will back staying in the customs union.

The Shadow Brexit Secretary told the Mirror: “It is inevitable the EU and the UK will have to draw up a new treaty. That should retain the benefits of the single market and customs union but technically that will have to be a new agreement.”
