Josh is used to a ref ride

WIGAN hooker Josh Ganson is hoping to hear Super League fans chanting the family name for the right reasons this season.

Ganson, 19, is the son of former Super League ref and current officials boss Steve, and spent his childhood hearing dad on the end of choice words from the stands.

Ganson junior is keen to make a name for himself after Micky McIlorum left for Catalans. He said: “My dad was refereeing from me being five so I never knew anything different. Ultimately I want to cement myself in the team.”
