High degree of deception

Pure educational snobbery led UKIP leader Henry Bolton to lie about having a BA degree, when what he actually possessed was a far more valuable NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) which can lead to vital, useful jobs in care, education, plumbing, construction, catering etc.

Not quite sure why Mr Bolton had to admit to lying though. Isn’t being economic with the truth a compulsory qualification for UKIP leadership?
