UNSWORTH GETS NOD AT OXFORD

-

DAVID UNSWORTH is set to be confirmed as Oxford United boss. The Everton Under-23 chief (below) was appointed caretaker manager at Goodison Park earlier this season following the sacking of Ronald Koeman. The 44-year-old will replace Pep Clotet at the Kassam Stadium. The Spaniard, who took charge in July, was axed by the League One club last month. Former central defender Unsworth has also coached for Scotland, Sheffield United and Preston and has a reputation for helping bring through young players. Among them are Everton first-teamers including Tom Davies, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jonjoe Kenny.
