CHRISTIANSEN AXED BY LEEDS AFTER 4-1 DEFEAT
LEEDS sacked Thomas Christiansen last night as he paid the price for failing to win a single game in 2018.
Chairman Andrea Radrizzani axed Christiansen (above) following Saturday’s
crushing 4-1 home defeat by Cardiff, which pushed Leeds down to 10th in the Championship.
Leeds were top in September and their Italian owner felt he had to act now to rekindle their promotion hopes.
The club said: “Leeds United can confirm head coach Thomas Christiansen has left the club.”
Radrizzani had wanted to maintain continuity, but is now looking for Leeds’ ninth manager since 2014.
Ex-boss Simon Grayson is said to be interested along with Steve McClaren.
