Dawson’s home run lined up by Forest

HULL face a struggle to prevent central defender Michael Dawson going ‘home’ to Nottingham Forest in June.

Forest offered Dawson (above), 34, a two-and-a-half-year deal on deadline day to return to the City Ground, where he began his professional career in 2002.

The Tigers kept Dawson for their battle against relegation – but Forest boss Aitor Karanka said: “It is something we could revisit in the summer. He is a good player who is going to be free then.”
