Wendy flutters by soap
WENDY Craig would be forgiven for having Butterflies as she makes her debut on Emmerdale at the age of 83.
The star of the 70s sitcom, where she played a put-upon mum and wife to Geoffrey Palmer’s character, flits into Emmerdale – but just for six episodes.
She guest stars as fun-loving Maisie who arrives on a tour bus and makes a beeline for Sandy Thomas, played by fellow veteran Freddie Jones, 90.
The pair hit it off and enjoy several dates. But when Maisie suddenly announces she’s off to live in Australia – and has a spare ticket – Sandy has to decide whether to go with her.
Wendy makes her first appearance on the ITV soap on Monday.
