‘Chilli attack’ chef on trial
A DINER doubled over in agony when a curry chef hurled chilli powder into his eyes, a court heard.
Cook Kamrul Islam, 47, had got in a row with David Evans and his wife when they complained about “rubbery” chicken.
Mr Evans needed hospital treatment after the bust-up at the Prince of Bengal, in Tonypandy, South Wales, Merthyr Tydfil crown court heard.
Islam denies assault causing actual bodily harm and claims self-defence.
The trial continues.
