Cyber-strike risk for NHS

HUNDREDS of hospitals are unprepared for cyberattac­ks, MPs were told.

All 200 NHS trusts checked for cyber-security vulnerabil­ities failed to meet the standard.

In a Public Accounts Committee hearing on the WannaCry attack which hit 81 trusts last year, NHS Digital deputy chief executive Rob Shaw said some trusts still have “quite a considerab­le amount” of work left to do.
